Behold, Thunderfury!

After farming Molten Core for months, I was finally able to get Baron Geddon to drop his left-hand [Bindings of the Windseeker]! I quickly rushed to kill Ragnaros and head back to Silithus for the epic quest battle. And alas, [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker] was mine! Thanks to everyone who helped me farm MC to get the bindings, especially Overkill!! :D

I’ve got a [Sulfuron Hammer] ready to go in case the [Eye of Sulfuras] drops as well. Maybe a second legendary soon? :o

4/12/2011 – Hero of Shattrath

Its done! I started grinding for this feat about 3 or 4 months ago, and after 1280 [Dreadfang Venom Sac]s, 98 [Fel Armament]s, and 50 [Mark of Sargeras], as well as 84000 reputation points gained with the Aldor.. I finally have [Hero of Shattrath]!

One of the things I have learned with this achievement is that it has been deemed buggy, and therefore sometimes will not be given to some people in very rare cases. Just to be safe, be sure to buy either the Aldor or Scryer Tabard (whichever you align with first) before you start turning in Sacs/Eyes. After you get Exalted with the other rep, buy the opposite faction’s Tabard so you will have both at the same time. This is proof for a GM that you have attained Exalted with both factions at some point in the game and they should be able to award you the FoS. I will update the guide to reflect this.

Master Sword Continued: Idemark’s Tower

Link to official MS:C website: www.msremake.com

If you don’t know what MS:C is, here’s a brief summary of the mod:

Master Sword Continued is a fantasy RPG mod for Half-Life 1. It’s heavily based on multiplayer play, although you can choose to play by yourself, most of the time it’s much better, for loot and for exp, that you play with a group of 2+. This mod can be very fun at times in the midst of combat and group effort, and it’s a shining example of what’s still possible on the very old Goldsrc engine. It even comes complete with an extensive lore behind it, read through either a book online, or told through the maps in the game. I recommend that you at least try it, and I do admit this game is not to everyone’s best tastes. The best thing is that even this late into the game’s development, it’s still updated on a near-monthly basis!

On to the article!

I’ve been a long-time player of this mod, and very recently I decided to start giving back to the community, in the form of making maps! I created the lore for the map, and designed it and completely built it by myself. J-M v2.5.5 from the MS:C forums helped me out a lot with placing monsters in the map, and of course Thothie(the mod leader) was just an all-around help throughout development.

Backstory:

After Lor Malgoriand’s task of upsetting the establishment of Order had been completed, it was merely a matter of time before the Apostles were sent to strip him of his awesome power. In their attempt to do so, Lor Malgoriand’s power inexplicably increased and the Apostle Idemark was slain. The remaining Loreldians sent Felewyn to destroy Lor Malgoriand, and thus The Great War was over.

My map’s lore:

The map takes place around Idemark’s Tower, which by now is mostly a crumbling fortress surrounded by large fields. The tower itself, although neglected, still stands as proud as it did before Idemark’s death. During the events of The Great War, Lor Malgoriand heard the Apostles were going to be sent to destroy him, and in a moment’s notice ordered an attack on where he knew one Apostle resided. Of course when the soldiers arrived the Apostle(Idemark) was not to be found, as he’d been slain by Lor Malgoriand. The Orcat sent to attack had conquered the fortress surrounding his tower, but could not penetrate the tower itself. And here we are in the present day! The land itself seems to contain magic, and as such even the ruins of the fortress have not decayed at a normal rate, and the tower is as impenetrable as ever.

Pictures!

Hello ladies and gentleman!

Hey, all you people! This is Overkill977 I’m new to the whole blogging scene so bare with me! But i digress. I’ve played online with Volcom82 for just about  5 or 6 years now and he’s been gracious enough to allow me space to post things on his site. i play many games from Team Fortress 2, World of Warcraft, and Portal. I have a tendency to lean more for the Fps realm of gaming since it’s been something I’ve done since early in my life. Anyway I hope you’ll enjoy your stay on Volcom82’s site and watch out for our post because like drum n bass it’s in your face!

New Theme

Got a new background going. Currently working on trying to get a new theme altogether. Let me know what you think so far!

Casbah3

The Casbah3 page is done! This was a remake of one of my most popular TF2 maps. Give it a look!

12/22/2010 – Mount-tastic!

So far I love Cataclysm. Blizzard really ramped it up this time with in-game cutscenes, more storyline-based questing, and most of all, the dungeons. With the release of 4.03, the Druid flight-form final boss, Anzu, was made non-summonable and is now able to be killed without having a Druid in your party.

Naturally, the idea was to make the boss farmable. The hype mostly revolved around the [Reins of the Raven Lord] that had a 1-2% chance to drop from him. It was considered to be a very prestigous mount in Burning Crusade, and in my opinion, it is one of the coolest ground mounts to be released thus far in the game. Knowing this, I decided to take up the task for myself and try my luck.

I am happy to say that on my 6th try, I got this baby to drop! (Never switching mounts again! :D )

But wait, theres more!

After a tedious 2 weeks of grinding Heroics, I was able to finally take off my [Tabard of Ramkahen] and go get me some Camel mounts! The [Reins of the Tan Riding Camel] was enough to push me over the 100 mark for [Mountain o' Mounts]! The reward for this achievement is a rather beautiful [Blue Dragonhawk Mount] that will be another trophy to add to my collection.

Next up, Fiery Warhorse or Ashes of Al’ar!

Hero of Shattrath Guide Finished!

I’ve been spending all day polishing and finishing my first guide! This one is about how to obtain the [Hero of Shattrath] achievement. Give it a look!

Kickin’ It Up A Notch

At long last I finally got [Hail to the Chef]! Between cooking the Northrend food and baking chocolate cakes, this was probably one of the most tedious title achievements next to the Insane primarily due to the continuous repetition of daily quests to gather all of the [Dalaran Cooking Awards].  Now all thats left is getting my [Chef's Hat]! (and maybe become an [Accomplished Angler]! :D )

Garry’s Mod Fun

I love Garry’s Mod. It gives me something to do when I’m bored, lets me make random contraptions of utter randomness that have no meaning whatsoever, and it lets me pose ragdolls.

My latest creation via ragdoll posing. I think it turned out pretty nice :D I’ve turned it into a background and included a small version of the collage in this post (just click the picture above). If you want to use it as a background, just set it to Center. It looks best with a black backdrop color!

Enjoy!
